    Hello all,

Is there a web-site that I could go to and print out cowl tag information for a '69? I'm going to look at a car tomorrow and would like to have the info to decode the trim tag while I'm there.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

It might be easier to say what you expect it to be and we can spec that out for you.

Not that I can think of...

I think the year one catalog has that kind of info in the beginning, other than that a 69 Fischer Body manual would have everything. I have the info on a CD, but I can't cut & paste it. :Do No:

I took pictures of pages out of a 72 Master Chassis Parts Book that should be of help. Send me an email at kenlisk@optonline.net and I'll send you the pics. I'd post them here, but the quality will suffer.

    Hi Brandon -

In a nutshell, Here's what the cowl tag should look like -
    Code:
It should look something like -
    ST69 44667 FL1 xxxxxxBDY
    TR %%%           && & PNT
    ***

The xxxxxx represtets the Fisher Body Number
The %%% represents your trim code
The && & is your body color and top color
The *** is the body build date.
    If the 44667 is actually 44467, it's a Skylark and not a GS400
Trim codes are on the 1969 order form Here
    Paint codes are Here

That's pretty much all the pertinent information your going to get off the cowl tag.

    Good luck tomorrow :beer
