Both of these for sale in Cleveland....must be somebody needs bail or already in jail. Is it something in the water there?
I wonder how difficult and how much damage you would have to undo to make the doors normal again. There is a lot of scrap metal in those 22" - 24" wheels.
My friend who painted my red and black cars said he's installed a lot of these conversions and it's not too difficult. I don't think the tear up is too bad as it's all in the hinges.....I think. I would think those 24 inchers might have an issue with our Michigan roads (or what used to be roads). Even the brand new concrete ones are rough from the day they open them. Think that's intentional, so the "unfixed" ones won't seem so bad. Can save a lot of tax money to help cover hissoner's legal fees.....
No doubt. Put a one piece tilt front end on it, too! Guess you can't even tell when the doors are closed. Tell you what, it'd be easier for us old farts to get in and out as long as we didn't pull it down on our heads as we're using it like a grab bar.
.....except for "Honky Donk, badonka donk." Whatever you do, don't outlaw that! John, does this mean you're not up here for the Nationals? I guess I'm not going to make the show/swap meet in Dearborn, but I do have the golf cart loaded in my F250 to go to Milan tomorrow and watch a few guys have lotsa fun going after $500 of Mondello's $$$. Also, the 73-77 Cutlasses had those heavenly swivel seats. That's perfect for me trying to tuck myself into our little ZX2 as I have to sit down, then pull my legs in. May want to add those to your cars, too!
Dave not exactly where I want to be in the heat. Too far at today's gas prices and flying ain't much better. I want this door set up on a stock W-30 and not say a thing until the Judge opens the door. Bet it would get docked some points. Still easier to get in and out of. John
Wonder how much that kit costs? It would be great on my 68 W30/wrong color Hurst with a 4 speed and no emblems anywhere. Add to the confusion. I'm nearby so don't have the gas/transportation issue, but also don't care to be out in the heat. That's why I skipped Norwalk. Can maybe take one day, but no more than that, and need an airconditioned room with a nice shower, not a pickup bed and lsiten to the anumals all night. Sounds like the ROP gang is misbehaving up there at the Hyatt.
Dave, there is a place on 8 Mile between Telegraph and Southfield that will do a "Lambo Conversion" for about $1500. I can get the address for you........:Brow: :Brow: They are a full service shop so they could mount some 22"'s on your Olds and add some candy pink scallops to your fenders and hood. o No:
Is that similar to those GTO Judge scallops over the wheel openings? 22's are passe.Gotta have the 24's. Kinda tossed up on the paint, though. Which do you think would attract the most attention down there in the 8 mile/telegraph district? JEA, this could be you with your 71 W30 convertible!!!!
Dave, are these cars prototypes for your white pure stocker? Have not talked since BG hope everything is good! Bob F:3gears: :3gears:
dont hate on the donk game im a current builder of one and donks are my favorite cars and i know a car that sits high has speed its a 95 caprice ls6 motor with 30' rims
No problem, I'm sure there's a lot of $$$ to be made building these things. I just wish they'd leave our Oldsmobiles alone. Buicks, Pontiacs, Chevys Mopars and Fords, who cares?   :beers2: :beers2:
