What would you guys estimate a complete centrifugal kit would cost me (less work)? Runing low boost and stock crank. And what about the rods and pistons?
Some people here run it if I remember right.
    Thanks!

xsperformance will be your best place to go. For the big blocks the P-1sc starts is 2800, and the D-1sc is 3200 or 3300. Youll also need to buy a blowthrough carb, or a carb kit which he sells, and a high output electric fuel pump and boost reference regulator. He basically sells everything you would need.

Your probably going to be around 4000 once you have all the parts, give or take depending on what you buy.

I looked into this last year. My total was about $4,000 by the time you get everything. And that's assuming you do all the work.

what kind off power increase would you have gotten for that?

I believe it was about a 30% increase.

Depends on how much boost, and how hard you want to push things. I see about a 65% increase with mine running all stock internals except for the forged pistons.

4k is a good figure not counting intercooler or alky injection or labor as mentioned above.

    High Output with P-1SC (8-rib drive) $2,800.00
    High Output with D-1SC (12-rib drive) $3,300.00

    Standard Surge Valve* $59.95
    Holley Carb Modification Kit** $35.95
    Aeromotive A1000 Fuel Pump $319.95
    Aeromotive Boost Senstive Regulator $149.95
    Boost Gauge $49.95
35 psi Fuel Pressure Gauge $49.95

*Optional for very low (around 6 psi applications), higher boost levels should use Pro Flow Surge Valve.
**Assuming you already have a double pumper Holley or Demon. HP series Holley carbs usually do not need the kit.

-You will also need fuel line, various fittings, fuel filters, etc to fully plumb up your fuel system.
-An electric fan is recommended for clearance, a straight drive mechanical fan can be used with correct spacer.

Hope this answers a lot of questions. Sadly up until the last price increase from Procharger six months ago these kits were for a brief period $300 cheaper...

Thanks guys, good info. Ive thought about this for a while and I will give it some more, but its good to have a figure to ponder upon :TU:
Need to go garage hunting :)

I believe it does. I'll double check to make sure it fits that particular model.

    any comfirmation on this?

Floats are different on the Speed Demon so the kit isn't appropriate. However, now that I think about it, I believe that the Speed Demon comes with black nitrophyl floats anyway so you probably don't need the kit anyway on the Demon carb.

On another note, we failed to point out something else about power output earlier. It really varies a LOT depending on your particular set-up, but a 100%power increase is not out of the question with this technology.

For example let's say you had a 8.5:1 350 making 250 bhp stock. With the right combination of supporting parts, an intercooled P-1SC could very readily crank out 450-500 hp with proper tuning. Of course at that level you'd be running an awful lot of boost depending on the supporting parts, perhaps as much as 16 p.s.i.

Most folks elect for something more conservative. Properly set-up, 8-10psi non-intercooled on a carbureted car can net as much as a 50% increase.

We've probably opened a can of worms with this...check out the website there's a lot more explanation there of how this all works.

hey xs perf, how hard would it be to make this kit work on a alumin headed buick 300?

Don't believe the 350 system would work at all. Would require development of a different kit.

the block deck hights are different 350 alittle taller so the distance between the bolt holes on the heads and the front cover are different so bracketry would not work , or might with a little modification. WHO KNOWS I have put thought into this also im hoping my opel will be under 2000# with the 300 in it till i can afford to and there are aluminum heads for a 350buick . then there will be a force induced 350 sbb in her. I will keep ya in mind XS Perf.

Can you use a cast crank or do you need a forged or billet crank to run one of these kits on a 9.0:1 CR motor?

Cast crank should be fine, depends more on how much power you are trying to make.
