They fit, but only just. Afraid if I corner or hit large bumps they may rub. I think I will order a pair of the wheel vintiques- 15x8 with 5" of backspacing to run these tires. :)

Or should I just run these and get some 255/60-15 as I know those will fit fine... I already have these rally wheels but a pair more is only $160 new from JEGS.

The other cheap option is to grab the angle grinder and take down the lip on the outer fender 3/8" or so, but the rear quarters are perfect so I am not fond of this idea.

    Cheers!

Doo Wop Where were you in '62?

Never would I massage a wheel opening lip to fit a tire!

Just buy the proper rims and sell what you have now.

I say trim the lips enough to clear and continue having fun!

X2. You're talking about the twin turbo car, right? How likely is it that anyone is ever going to see a little trimming on your rear wheel openings? All my attention would be directed under the hood

Well I decided to order the 15X8 rally wheels from Wheel Vintique with 5" of backspacing- I also wrapped the existing 15X8 Corvette rally wheels with 255/60-15 street tires (Goodyear Eagle ST). That way I can get a set of drag specific rears and not have to worry about messing them up with my cruise nights/trips to work.

:) With the wheels only going for $180 for the pair with shipping included- my concern with trimming the fenders is that I may mess up my beautiful paint-

I think with the BS I got I may be able to stuff 295/50s back there. :)

I really like the look of the rally wheels but I need to get a different set of rings for the front- the rings I have are too deep and will not fit with the 7" wheels (I am running 195/60-15 tires up front).

Pics soon but my wife's car was in the way when I got done mounting the new tires/rims this weekend.

Kevin, what is the part or item # for those Jegs wheels? I want to check them out as well. Thanks. -- Jeff

I have a nice set of Pro Star wheels that I took off the car to put on the rally wheels for cheap. :)

I just didn't like the way they looked on this car. Maybe at some point I will do 17" wheels or something, but right now I am really liking the sleeper look with the rally wheels. I color matched the wheels as well as the center part of the derby hats to my car. Will get some pics soon-

Will these rally rims work with my stock dog dish caps?

That I cannot answer as I do not have any dog dish caps to test but I would be more than happy to measure the clips on the Rally centers I have and see if the diameter is the same as the dog dishes- if they are I see no reason why they wouldn't work...
