Did a search but nothing came up....does anyone make a really decetn rear hangar for our cars....ie the one at the back of the muffler. I would like it to look more or less stock....

Oh yeah, just saw the parts place now has correct looking reproduction control arm bolts!!! 1/3 the price of the GM I bought!!LOL

Seems things get better the older these cars get...

    Thanks

    Tim,

    Try Walker # 35870 (RH) # 35871 (LH)

    or Maremont # TH-385 (RH) # TH-407 (LH)

I think NAPA Auto parts sell under the EXH35870 & EXH35871 numbers.

purchased the muffler hangers and the rear tailpipe hangers + proper clamps from year1 in spring 2004. clearcoated them before installing. all these metal parts s/b galvanized to resist rusting.

    Tim,
I just finished putting the 35870 & 35871 rear muffler hangers on my car. Without seeing an original I'd have to say these are a perfect match.
Only trouble I had was getting them to attach at the muffler at the rear. The Walkers I have are made with a type of universal clamping bracket on the rear. These are welded to the case. I was able to leave them there & use a couple flat washers between the pipe clamp & the hanger. Only need about an eighth, maybe 3/16"
Picked mine up at Carquest, real cheap, $6-7.00/each.

Gardner Exhaust sells exhaust hangars if you want the correct style hangars.

Just checked with Gardner Exhausts and.......

They only offer the clamps, hangers, and other accessories as upgrades if you are buying a complete exhaust system. Maybe somebody else knows how to get them to sell these items on a piece by piece basis?????

I need the tail pipe hangers too. I have a question though, that picture above of the tail pipe hanger, what attached "it" to the tail pipe??? This is the part I REALLY need. Everybody has the hangers, but no place I can find has whatever piece you need to actually "hang" the tail pipe to the "hanger"

The pipe is attached to the hanger with a regular old parts store muffler clamp (big U-bolt with a receiver and two nuts)

I think Year One sold the original type ring clamps the attached the tail pipe to the rear hanger. They are a little different than a standard clamp. These fit only stock diameter however.
