Hi, I want to freshen up my 1970 GS differential gear lube. The owners manual says 90 weight lube. I have a posi 3:64 ten bolt. Can I use Valvoline fully synthetic 75w90 gear oil? I was also planning on putting in the GM Limited slip lube as well. Any suggestions? Will this be o.k.? I can buy something else, but this is what I was able to get from my place of employment for free. Thanks in advance for your help!

    Regards, John. :TU:

That sounds good. I use the same only with Amsoil.
I am very happy with it. Yes use the limited slip lube
    for piece of mind.

When I setup my 3.55 posi a few years ago several people I spoke with (in particular John Osborne) recommended using the GM lube and their posi additive with the old clutch style diffs.

    that is all... :pp

Thanks for your insight Ken. I suppose I could try what I have and if I don't like it, I could go back to G.M.. I will use the G.M. additive.

    Regards, John.
