I have noticed on other Wildcats that the center cap on the mags had a Wildcat emblem in the middle. My 68 Wildcat has ones with Buick Motor Division written on them. Are these correct for my 1968 Wildcat?
Thanks for the link Dave. According to his website, mine are for a later Buick '71-78. That clears that up.
Man o man does Mitch do some beautiful work, I don't even have a Wildcat anymore and I want a set of those! Lol
Of all the Buick center caps over the years, those Wildcat versions have always been my favorite. What an awesome design!
Yep, those are beautiful. I scrounged up a used set whrn I had a ‘68. Sold the car but kept the centers. Patrick
Even though i have a 68 car, I could not go past a set of 5 1965 center caps a few years back. Those are THE ONES, I reckon. Beautiful And I don't expect to run into anyone anytime soon down here who's gonna tell me they are ''wrong''. But then, I'm not a concours freak anyway ..... if I'm allowed to say that ;-)
I agree the '65 design is great looking. I'm still wondering when someone will start reproducing them! Ive seen some ads and factory photos for the '68 Wildcat that show the cars with the '65 center cap, rather than the ribbed cap version.
The ordered cones probably won't fit your wheels... hub size between 66-70 and 71 and up wheels (like yours ??) differ.
They will fit as adapters come with. You're right, somehow my car lost its original wheels in the past and instead of 2 1/8 center holes, my wheels have the later 2" center holes.
