I've got about 10 or so of them big car road wheels but they all are a little different. The one full set with the right sized center hole, for the Wildcaps (yes, I found some! :Brow: ) seem to have way too much backspacing. The one full set with what looks like the right backspacing have the center holes too big for the caps to fit, plus there are rings welded on the backside in the centers on them that aren't on the other set. What gives? Does anyone know how to positively I.D. the correct 65 wheels? I've got to get some new tires but I want to mount them on the right set of wheels the first time. uzzled:
i thought most all GM stock wheels were stamped on the back side of the rim with all the important info including the date of manufacture. o No:
I thought so too... Aparrently not. uzzled: Here's some information I've recieved from some BCA members; "There is no rim code for a 65 Road Wheel." If youre interested, then here's the full story; http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=186034&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1
