    Hey Everyone,

How hot does your engine run? I have a 425 nailhead with a flex fan and new water pump and 3 core radiator. I run in he low 200's (200-215) is this normal? I'm in Phoenix (112 today) and have not drove my car in the summer during the day for 5 years or more and I'm scared it might overheat.

How do you know you're at 200-215? Did you put in aftermarket gauges?

I think that temp is fairly normal. An aluminum radiator would probably cut another 10 degrees off it, if there's one available for your year car?

How old is your radiator? May want to flush the crap out of it and add a fresh 50/50 mix. Check your stat, or even replace it with a 180 or 160 degree one.

Try driving it a few times on really hot days, see what it actually gets up to and if it cools and heats properly as it cycles. Sometimes just being low on coolant or having air pockets can cause over heating (obviously) but 200-215 sounds marginally ok still. Just my non-professional opinion.
