If that's the engine in the Mercedes it sounds like crap. I am not a fan of the short loops and phone format. Cool content though!

No that one is a stock 350 with glass packs which isn’t my pick for exhaust either. Here is the good engine

The guy wearing the STP shirt looks like the same guy on UTG when he showcased Buick engines.

Yes that’s Dallas. He currently has a buick powered suburban, jeep gladiator, Mercedes and I’m sure others.

True, I like to get them up to 2500 RPM asap and vary the RPM between 1500 and 3000 RPM never staying at the same RPM.

IMG_2034.jpeg I'll tell you how good cams were in the 80's When I put the 268 cam in the 350 I knew nothing on putting the engine at 2 grand to break in a cam. I let it idle and did nothing but drive it and nothing happened. I had to change the shaft and rockers since some were worn out and making noise, but after that change it was quiet and ran very good.

that engine has to fire up instantly and I hope it does when this thing I have gets put back together.

Always use a good known running carb to eliminate startup problems.
    No fresh rebuilds....

Only pump diaphragm changes so it squirts Now.

Also I triple check the obvious stuff like wiring and points and fuel delivery to make sure that doesn’t get in the way, and of course prime the oil pump first!

If you had the lid of the carb to replace the accelerator pump cup, I would use a different carb that hasn’t been touched for the first start. Just sayin’
