One song that I've always liked while cruising in my Buick's is Todd Rungren's "Saw the Light". I'm sure you'll all agree,it's a cool tune. Now,I know topics like this have been posted before,(and I don't want to be repetitive)but what songs do you like listening to while cruising your Buick?
I have a few all-time favourites I like to listen to when cruising around town. They are in no particular order: Cruisin' by KC Fire by the Pointer Sisters Magnet and Steel by Walter Egan Rainy Night in Georgia by Brook Benton Mama Let Him Play by Gerry Doucette Hey St. Peter by Flash and the Pan Roads to Moscow by Al Stewart What Becomes of the Broken Hearted by the Temptations Shotgun by Jr. Walker and the All Stars Tracks of my Tears by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles I'm a Roadrunner by Jr. Walker and the All Stars My Girl by The Temptations Shangri-a by Roman Grey Stand By by Roman Holliday Hungry Heart by Bruce Springsteen Prove it All Night by Bruce Springsteen What the Hell I Got by Michel Pagliaro Some Sing Some Dance by Michel Pagliaro As you can see I am living in the past man! Cheers Randy
I'd have to say, what I mostly listen to (in general, but also in the Buick) is some classic rock, and a lot of 50's and 60's stuff. Too many to name ATM, since its mostly the radio anyway.
I have radio delete in my gran sport, the only music i hear is the carbs and exhaust. it don't get ant better than that :3gears:
'I'm a Man' by Spencer Davis Group 'She's About a Mover' by Sir Douglas Quintet 'Liar,Liar' by The Castaways 'Last Time' by Rolling Stones 'Baby,I Need Your Lovin' by Johnny Rivers are pretty good cruisin' songs.
That was an excellent tape when it came out and stayed true to the CCR sound.Gotta say I like to listen to the Doors' L.A. woman on road trips alot also.Another one is Detroit Rock City by KISS."Movin' fast, now 95.I pick up speed but I'm still movin much too slow"Yeah !!!!Makes me wanna hit the road now !!! :3gears: :3gears:
Anything with cowbell. Blue Oyster Cult "Don't fear the reaper" or "Jungle Love" by The Steve Miller Band. I gotta have more cowbell.
Bad Company songs is what I remember hearing in the Suncoupe when it had a radio in it. Now it is the the three inch exhaust :beer
Some of you might think this is a little odd but I also like to listen to Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass when taking long road trips. It's just hard to be anything but happy when you listen to it.If some of you folks don't know who he is just remember the theme to the Dating Game Show from the 70's.
What about these? What a fun thread! How about some good instrumental pieces? I love songs but I have to say driving in traffic can bring out the need to listen to "Ride of the Valkeries" by Wagner (although I'm usually not falling past the Sears Building) or taking sharp turns to the music of "The Saber Dance" by Khatchaturian. The theme music from "Peter Gunn" can always make you feel cool :bglasses: . Not too hard to figure out one of my favorite soundtracks!

"Ride of the Valkeries" great piece of music, reminds me of riding to battle in a helicopter as in Apocalypse Now. I didn't think they were making good music anymore until I heard "Last Summer by the Lost Profits a while back, could be ten years old as far as I know. Dave B
