I've got a 64 Skylark convertible with power drums all around and the single chamber master cylinder.

I would like to convert it to split front/rear system. I don't really care about disks, the drums stop the car well enough, but I do want to convert to a split system so I still have half the brakes if one of the 42 year old brake lines fail.

I figure all I need to do this is a 2 chamber master cylinder like used on the later disk brake models, and an adjustable portioning valve.

Has anyone done something like this, and is there a master cylinder that will bolt up to the stock booster?
