I have the need to soda blast. I have a pressure sand blaster. I found this:

    http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200442357_200442357

    But, $149.00 for this:eek2:

I'm just not sure how this is installed and used? Can someone give me the rundown? Anyone buy the adapter kit?

I found a source for soda, about how much does a car body take?

    Thanks,

    Rich

What are you planning on blasting? The small hobby soda blasters/conversions sometimes disappoint depending what your expectations are. By the time you buy enough media to do the job, you might be better off taking it to a professional.

I'd have a hard time spending $150 for the kit at northern. Harbor Freight has small soda blasters for $99 if you have a few small parts you are doing.
If you want to soda blast you might be better off getting another pot specifically designed for it.

I have a nice sand blaster that gets little use, so switching it back and fourth is no big deal. I was just hoping that someone did the DYI thing and figured out what was needed. There can't be but $25-30 in parts?

I was looking at the double tank, quick change, Eastwood deal for about $450, but what if you want to do a whole car? How big, how much of a deal is needed?
    I'm curious too.
