I have a '65 Skylark with a counsel, the stock 2 speed floor shifter has a linkage that hits against the th400, car now has a 455 & th400, so I want to convert it to a cable set up, Origional Parts Group sells a kit for Chevelle's and Olds, probably would work on a Buick, has anyone out there used this kit, or did the conversion another way? I have the floor shifter and cable set up from a Pontiac, I used to run it in my race car, looking at the differences and trying to figure out what it would take to use the cable. Their kit is either $70 or $150, not sure why the 2 have such a price difference, the description is the same for both....
    Thanks

I used the lokar one for column shift, worked pretty good. Counsel has got to be the same idea. Just took a little work to get the lengths set up exactly right. Climbed under the car like 6 times now it works perfect. Think mine was 130 shipped, but then again slightly diff part.
