I posted this in Classic Buicks but figured it would be best suited here.
We were out crusing around town in the Invicta earlier tonight. She was being
driven fairly hard, heck, she beat a 1967 Mustang GT in a race as well as a
souped up mid 1980's Ford Pickup. Well, we pulled up to a stoplight and when
it turned green she got floored. Now to the point of my post. It seemed like
when she got floored that the tires were spinning although they were not. So,
this leads me to believe that mabye the converter was/is slipping. Mabye I
am just over reacting but I would rather be on the safe side. Thanks for the
    help!

I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say it was like the "tires were spinning, but they were not". If you were doing alot of racing, you might have overheated the trans fluid. Did you take a look at the level, and fluid condition? That is the first thing I would do. Do a stall test. If your familiar with the car, you should be able to feel whether the trans is slipping or not.

    Is this a Dynaflow transmission??

Yes, it is a Dynaflow. When I said it felt like the tires were spinning I meant
that when it first got floored it didn't accelerate as fast as it usually does
like the tires were spinning. Then it finally caught like the tires had stopped
spinning and then ran like a bat out of hell. Thanks, sorry that I wasn't clear
    in my post.

I see, so it might be slipping initially. I'm not really familiar with the Dynaflow. You might have better luck posting in the Nailhead section, or the BCA board. Some of those guys might be able to help. Good luck.
