I was wondering if anyone knows how to take off or put back on control arm bushings for a 1970 Buick Lesabre.

    Front or rear arms?

    You may need a press.

    I think front.

I use a dull flat bit in an air chisel and slowly crush the bushings inward and then hit them with a hammer. They will usually "pop out"
When installing them w/o a press, use a large socket that fits over the bushing flange and tap them in place with a 3 lb sledge hammer.

If you have no experience doing this type of work, take it to an auto machine shop and have them do it for you.

Thank you guys for all of your help. We are trying to do everything we can before we take it to an auto shop...plus, the engine runs but we still have the balljoints and wheels off. Any other information on restoring a 1970 Buick (body and interior) I would appreciate. Thank You.

With several years and thousands of members built up it is a large database of information. Also check out the FAQs. Many procedures are documented there as well.
