If your going thru radiators or heater cores, you might want to do this simple test. Once again,it stresses the importance of your ground cables/straps/wires. This is even more crucial with a high out-put alternator. You may already know how, but in case you don't and if you are interested, this is how testing for electrolysis is done: Test with the engine running and at operating temperature. Make sure all engine straps are in place. Using a digital voltmeter: Place negative lead to the battery negative post and the positive lead into the coolant. Alternate Method: Place negative lead to radiator core (not the tank ends) and the positive lead into the coolant. A voltage reading above 0.300V can cause pinholes in the heater core and/or radiator.
