Phil won the bracket 1 race at Norwalk yesterday. I was a bit late and broke out running him down, he was dead on his dial with a 4 and a better light than me. Good job Phil. Norwalk was a blast as always no time to get bored when this program is running. Thanks Roberta and Bill and everyone that works to make this race happen.

Thank you thank you. I have to admit that I just screwed up less than my competition in some of the early runs, but the last race had a .579 reaction and ran a 11.984 on a 11.98 dial-in.

Car did run a best ever for me a 11.86 with a 1.62 60'. Hey, I gotta change my signature!!!

It was sure a lot better running n Bracket 1 than 2. About half the cars, but better racers, so it was both fun and a challenge. I was going to slow my car down, but now I'm thinking about an overdrive tranny so I can keep the car at it's current speed, maybe a bit quicker with the ratios in the 200r4.

Hmmm, then I could get an electric water pump and fan setup like Denny and Renee Moore, aluminum heads........................ :Brow:

First of all----congratulations. Also to you to Dennis ( since you did put a hurting on me in the 1/4 finals) Great racing with everyone up there and was a really good turnout for only being a one day event and a rain date on top of that.

The only thing that we have on Renee's car is the electric fans, no electric water pump (yet). But after the car was over heating in the staging lanes yesterday, i think that the electric water pump might be the next thing to go on her car. The car did run a best time of 11.78 so, there might be a little more in it, but also, there is alot more in it if we can get it to Cecil next month.

Congratulations to all winners in every class and thank to all the sponsers too.

Congrats. Phil :TU: I didn't envy you going against Dennis in the finals. He is a tough one to be up against. Find yourself a decent rolling chassis so keep the 'vert a cruiser (for your wife to find the sales faster) & you'll have nice racer for you. i may know of one coming available. Randy

COngratulations Phil!!! Isn't it great to have to keep changing your signature after every race event :) I know that I'm loving it (even though that darn Denny keeps getting better times than me)

It was a great day except for the overheating problems (me and the car) Lots of really good racers and really close races. Every bracket was fun to watch, definately worth the money just to watch.

Hope to see the same thing next month at Cecil County :)

good job Phil, luckily for you i gave you 1 in the 1/4 finals!!! you owe me 1 :Brow:

if i would have had a fair light it would have been a good race since both our cars were running the #. :3gears: the runs against Shayne and Dave were very close, they both had me on the tree by a couple hundreths but i ran the # and pushed them out. :pp

Yea, I have to admit Doug, I was plenty nervous about going against you and actually contenplated backing up in the staging lanes when I saw you up there. But I figured it would probably have to happen some day, so I might as well get it over with.

Thanks for redlighting for me. :) Like I said earlier, I fell very lucky as I wasn't doing great, just screwing up less than the other guy.

Since I was racing I had no clue you were going rounds......Gotta get out to the track more often if you're gonna be winning.

    GREAT JIob!

Phil, our 3rd round race was really exciting and close, if I had a better light, you would have beon toast! My car was working better than it had in a long time due to new slicks, and an unscared driver as the track worked well for me, even 'Boss Wills' said the car looked good going down the track, now only to make it look like it should with a real paint job, so folks, I'm committing to a new paint job for next year, and you won't know which car is mine, cause the new version will be next to nothing you have seen before, I promise! But suggestions on colors are also to be considered, purple pearl was my first choice! With some GSX ghost stripes, or some other interesting color scheme, anybody got some other ideas, on how to make my car, MY CAR? distintitive but COOL? Cool, means cool for real, cause that Ford red that it is is defiinitely not cool, but about 40 degrees hotter than a yellow or white car, LET ME KNOW YOUR sUGGESTIONS, Thanks RV

    Hey Roberta,

I asked how the Buick GSX woulda looked in alternate colors a year or two ago. Someone photoshopped them in Panther Pink and Plum Crazy. Both looked AWESOME. Consider them. Moper did have the color palate thing going for them! Also, didja get my PM?

Geez, after beating all these people I've watched for the last four years, now it sounds like I've got a target on my back for next year!!

I think I can live with that. I'll definitely have to get out to Dragway 42 and work on my reaction time and launching before next May. :Brow:

Good job Phil!!! It's always fun to go rounds. I had a 10 sec tubo car in round one, which was a gimme. Then I totally screwed up racing Doug in the next round, took to much stripe. I need to work on backing in faster cars. Glad you made it to the 1/4's Doug :TU: .
