i saw that show also, last night. to me, it was very informative. i have never seen a 427 marauder. imagine, drum brakes and trying to stop that beast. the breather looked like the precursor to the "starwars breather" . great car !!

    Gerry,

I thought that breather you are talking about was off an older Merc he has. If I remember correctly, the engine it went on was actually not ina car yet. :Do No:

Isn't the one on his blue Marauder the open element 2x4 air cleaner?

It definitely was a good show. It's cool to see the torque of that thing make a complete joke out of those bias ply's.

Have they done, or planned to do, a GS one on these last runs of Amer. Musc. Car? I know the last one they did was kind of disappointing to me. They really left out some good important facts and info on the GS's evolution. Specifically the transition to Stage 1.

I liked the show and the car. Had a couple big Impalas with the 409 myself . Very comfortable and run strong. It was fun to watch the front end jump up when you stood in it. ED K

I was paired up against Brians car last Sept. at the PSMCDR in Stanton. Sure had my hands full with that Merc :eek2: . Got to see his tailights 2 out of 3 times we raced down the track that day. He ran his best time ever against me. Very cool car, that's for sure. Joe X.
