I'm saddened to tell you all that Rick lost his dad Friday night. He had what was probably a heart attack while Rick's mom was driving them home from a dinner dance. Rick's dad was well known to many of our long time Northeast GS/GN club memebrs since he used to accompany Rick to Bowling Green for the GS Nats back in the late Eighties and into the early Nineties. The last time any of you would have had the pleasure to have met him at a Buick event was at Norwalk in 2000, when he came out with Rick and myself. Emilio Martinez was 77. He will truly be missed. For those of you who would like to send a card, you should send it to Rick's mom, Ida. The address is: The Martinez Family 9 Smith Ct. Palisades, NY 10964 Those of you in the NY area who would like to pay your respects at the wake, it is being held at Moritz Funeral Home - 98 Rt 303 South - Tappan, NY. Phone # 845-359-0890. The hours of viewing are: Sunday, Dec. 12th - 7pm to 9pm and Monday, Dec.13th - 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
So sorry to hear that. I never had the pleasure of meeting Ricks Dad. My deepest condolences to Rick and his family.
So Very Sorry I would like to extend my sympathy to Rick and his family. I will be thinking of them and share in their sorrow. ~P~
Really sorry to here this Rick.. You have my condolences, as I wish the best for you and the family.. The sudden ones are always the worst, since there is no time to prepare yourself for it. I lost both Grandparents on one side to a car accident, and it was tough. Hang in there pal. JW
Condolences Rick, Please accept our condolences and please pass them along to your family. I do remember meeting your dad, along with you, years ago at the Nat's. Both my parents have been gone for a long time now, but you never really lose some of those "feelings" that you once had. Hang in there, is does get better in time. Steve
