Is it neccasary to have a condensor in order to have spark with a points system. I am sorry I can't remember, where does the condensor wire go to? and the lead coming from the points? I feel reel dumb, and trust me I've done a ton of searching on this subject w/o the answer i was looking for, so please don't blast me  It's just been so long since I have had to dabble with this setup :spank:
    thanks ,

The condenser wire hooks to the points where the coil lead is. Without a condenser ,if it runs at all ,it will only run at very low RPM.

Yes, it's job is to "absorb" electrical current at the moment of points opening, so that the arc across the points contacts is minimized. Without one, the engine should run, but your points will burn themselves up in no time.

There is a single lead from the - side of the coil inside of the distributor. There is a single lead from the condenser. They both attach to the points at the same screw.
