looking for a used computer for my baby girl. something kinda cheap but works. It will be some thing to fittle with and i don't wont to spend a lot of money on it yet. (i'll wait till college for that) any help will be appreciated...mike
local paper is the best bet. Other wise just browse dell.com for $4-500 you can get a nice computer. It help to aleady have a monitor though that or pick up a used ones. Its almost useless to buy used. People want to recoop money on system that are out of date. And today you can build a new computer for next to nothing.
I also got a barbone system from these guys not long ago http://www.targetpcinc.com/ I already had most of the parts and their bare bone kit was much cheaper then buying each part alone. got a case n 400watt PS, 2.0 P4, MB with sound n nic, ram, HD, CDRW/DVD player, speakers and including shipping it was $250
