Some of you may remember the game I'm part of (that me and a few friends are creating) and I could use a little help. Just look over the current list and if you can think of anything that might go along with the current categories that would be considered an "upgrade" to do to your car, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Everything on the list already has an "estimated hp level" so don't bother witht that but if you do suggest something, please have an est hp gain with it. Thanks!
Dude, definately not. This game is going to based on reality as much as it can, no "naaaawwzzz" here, just nitrous. p :TU:
Check out Hot Rod American Street Drag,That game has a bunch of stuffyou can add to your cars to make them faster. It is an easy way to drag race and build up your car,but it may give you some ideas.Hot Rod magazine had it designed so that everyone from new enthusiasts to the long time rodder would enjoy it.Not a bad game.
I got Ideas I bought that street drag game a while back and was pleasantly suprised. Although it was way to easy it was fun. Now adays you can do a francise/dynasty/career mode maybe do something like that where you start with crud and end up a stud if you race well. Maybe when racing you can race for sponsors and have contracts....much like the new nascar 2005 game where you can buy your own racing team or race for another racing team. Expanding the classes........like on the hot rod burnout drag racing games there is only 1 class for cars that run 4.5s all the way to 18s.....(not very fun having to wait 12 seconds for the green) maybe have Stock, Pro, Super Pro, Comp, Pro Modified. Have a bigger selection of cars and the engines Maybe have little details like............window tinting, different roll cages, different style hoods and hood scoops, a twin turbo setup, the correct sounds for the cars for example....on hot rod racing game you can choose from like a mopar with headers, mopar with mufflers, chevy headers, and with mufflers, and a buick v6 headers......If you have twin turbos it usually makes a nifty sucking noise and then the backlash when doing a burnout. Have different selections of tires........Mickey Thompsons, Phoenix, Moroso, Goodyear, MH racemasters. Have preset car combinations like for prostocks and stockers or pro modifieds. for those who are performance challenged all they have to do is click a button and their combination will be there so they can have fun. Have a budget that you cant go over so you will have to race and win to have a good car Have swap meets where you can go and get different parts and cars During a season have big money races like 10 thousand no box races and stuff like that.....But costs money to race in it ( so if you suck you wont be able to afford the big buck races) Have maybe like in a francise thing where eventually when your the shat and really good rich from winning you can buy your own track and make money off races so you can continue to build a bigger and better racing team. Thats all I can think of at the moment...... Look forward in seeing the game
absolutely no cheat codes, should be part of the game. Make using trainers as difficult as possible. Even hidden cheat will be found by the wise. Don't be tempted to use them, even for testing purposes.
Cheat code are for weiners yeah cheat codes suck it totally makes the game not worth playing if you can max out everything with a few key strokes. Have an online play.....seems to be the thing with gaming systems now adays.
#1. There will be no cheat codes and anyone caught trying to cheat will be banned right asap. #2. That's a great writeup waterboxguy. #3. It's a browser based text game (for the moment, we'll probably start throwing images into it after all the code is perfected and might even be flash based sometime early next year), no gaming system to fuss with, no controllers to buy, just your head and a browser. #4. It's free. The only thing that will cost money is for "upgrades" such as more gas per turn and a few other things that enhance the game (you get a set amount of gas/etc to start with that renews by the hour and the credits you buy are to raise the set amount you get an hour) but playing normally is free.
The game Yeah I got a little carried away but its all stuff that would make for an outstanding game. Cant wait to try this good luck with it

Anybody ever play/hear of "Motor City Online"?? I was in on the "beta test" of the game. It was very promising..."Cheating" became rampant. But they were trying to stop it, and were doing OK at it. The biggest problem I had with the game was the "Auction Based" economy. In other words, you had to bid on performance parts for your car. Toward the end of the beta test, they did add a "parts store" where those of us who did not cheat could actually get some very modest performance parts. Anyway, they had a good idea that they let go to crap! :af:  The whole structure of the game was just wrong. It turned into an "Ebay" game. You even got greater rewards for racing a "time trial" instead of racing other online players. Needless to say, my experiance with "Motor City Online" never extended past the "Beta Test".
I bought mco ($40) and tried to play it and paid for a month subscription ($10) and it never worked. I couldn't login no matter what I tried and their support was always "reinstall the game" and my reply would be "I did, 9 times already!!" and their response would be "try it again". ...... I wrote it off as a loss after 30+ support emails.
You know an angle that doesn't get played up nearly enough in video games these days? Disaster. For example, what would happen if you hooked up a Buick 455 (making lots of horsepower and huge torque) up to a stock rear end? In most computer games, you wouldn't race very well. In real life, you'd be sweeping shrapnel off the starting line, and shopping for a new rear end. I realise that 'too much real life' in video games can be annoying... but some is always welcome, in my book. Just a thought. ~Mike
