What is a Buick 350's (1968) stock compression ratio? Also, what would be a good 'all around' ratio for 4 BBL and possible head porting and polishing? Thx guys.

If your 68 is a 2bbl it's probably between 8.5 and 9.5. If you are going to bump up to a 4 bbl. and port the heads I'd suggest at least 9.5 to 10 or better depending on how much you drive it. The porting will help considerably but I've never been a big fan of polishing heads for street use. It works great at high RPM and tons of compression but in daily use it tends to leave fuel not completely atomized. IMHO

Alrighty, thx. I wont drive this very often, due to gas prices. It will mainly be a weekend cruiser/rice eater.

P.S. I know, I know, I should have put this thread in the Small Block section. I realized this after I posted
