Compression ratio for stock replacement pistons.

    Compression height is the term we are looking for. That is the distance from the center of the pin to the flat of the piston (not the top of the dome).

    Oops, I guess I thought that was obvious.
    I was more responding to the Compression ratio question.
    Dome volume has been noted to not be published, requiring measuring, which I didn't address.
    Rods aren't always the same length, decks not always parallel, domes differ on cast pistons, and you can't blindly trust some shops.
    Catalog specs are not trustworthy, and someone asked about measuring.
    It's frustrating seeing people blindly assemble them and having problems later.

    So how would you rate the following pistons to put in your new engine. I know that no one has had experience with all of them but I'd like to hear your views on what you have used ( or heard from verified sources )

    Egge
    Federal Mogul / Sealed Power ( do they make their own or on sell Egge ?? )
    Engine Tech ( as above )
    Silvolite ( website deos not list them ?? )
