1971 TR code 455 complete from flywheel to fan and carb to pan. All accessories and brackets (including a/c compressor). Came from a strong running 80,xxx mile Florida Riviera. Nice motor with no rust. $500 pick up only. Also have a short shaft BA code TH400 from a 1970 GS455, also a Florida car. Was supposedly rebuilt a year or two before being removed. $350 pick up only. This is a perfect combination for someone doing a Skylark to GS conversion or upgrading a GS350 to GS455 or Stage car. Located in Palm Beach, Florida. I can bring the transmission to the Central Florida area for pick up if that helps. Liquidating my 20+ year collection of Buick parts.
I am interested. Just to be sure, I have a '72 Lark that I am putting a 455 in, and I need a transmission. This will fit?
Yes it will. And if you're doing a cosmetically correct big block conversion, I have all the parts that most people overlook such as the big block intermediate shaft, big block crossmember, core support cross braces, rear frame connector brackets, etc.
Thumbs up for Donny I purchased a motor, complete, from him a few years ago, was exactly what he said it was, and ran nicely. Still run it from time to time on my engine test stand. Rented the trailer for $35 and drove down to get it. The engine cradle made by AM&P (http://automachperf.com/Buickperformance.html) made strapping it down really easy and secure. I could not have been happier with the deal (here's a few pix of when I got home)
No I didnt build it. That was a craigslist score, $100 for the bare stand I added the gauges, ignition wiring, radiator, exhaust, battery etc.
