Here is the full illustrated combination that I need help for. I have been trying to get some closure on this project before I get into my next one.

I have a .030 over 455 BBB with Ross light weight 11.5:1 pistons, floating wrist pins bushed, arp rod bolts, 10/10 crankshaft w/arp studs, ta 408s camshaft, double roller timing chain, sp1 intake, 1000 cfm Barry Grant with 87H square, Autolite #26, digital 6 box, Msd distributor, Msd Wires, 430 Heads ported and polished w/swirl polished valves, 430 rocker arms w/ adjustable pushrods, timing set at 36 degrees, big shot 400 nitrous system jetted to 210, stock flex plate, ati harmonic balancer, stefs oil pan, th400 w/ 3400 to 4400 stahl converter, 4.10 gears, ladder bars, 28x10.5 slicks. In a gutted Buick Regal. I want some 6.70's on motor and then some 6.20's or 30's on nitrous in the 1/8th of the mile.

    Racin'....

You ain't blown that motor up yet!?! Get that thing together and race it! I know those stock rockers are just begging to break. See what that converter and transbrake will do and go from there. You still might need to get the converter adjusted, but you wont know until you get it together. Thunder Valley runs all year long. If it ain't below 45 its open. I'm sure there's others. So get er' done.

I will after christmas try and get it back together and try and see if there are any converter adjustments to be made in this thing. Are you still going to sell the parts mentioned before.

Fraz, (not sure of you'r name as it hasn't been listed) You say that your heads have been ported, do you know the flow numbers? Also do you know what the car weighs? The converter very well maybe the problem. As an example I have an '81 Regal very close to your combination, my Regal weighs 3,200 w/driver, ladder bar w/Ford 9", Turbo 400 trans w/8" Coan conv. & brake, .030over 455, 10.5 Arias pistons, stock rods w/ARP bolts, comp. cam, (spec. sheet is in the trailer, not in front of me, and I don't recall specs.), Rollmaster timing chain, SP1 intake, Holley 850 carb., MSD dist. w/6AL box, Iron heads, flow #'s 275-278 CFM @500lift, roller rockers, timing @ 32deg., no nitrous YET, JW "the wheel" flex plate, ATI balancer, stock oil pan with baffels, I run on Pump gas 92-93 octane gas, 31'X13" M.T. slicks w/ 4:10 gears. It runs 6.50's (10.32 best in 1/4) w/1.34-1.35 average 60' (very consistant). The whole package HAS TO WORK TOGETHER! The converter is a big part of that, & the heads is what makes the power! Not sure that I gave you any answers but just another example of whats out there!

That is a bit of help to me. I would like to know what is the stahl on your torque converter. What is your shift points, rpm through the traps.

8" Coan, around 4,500 stall, shift at 6,000, go thru the traps 6,300-6,400rpm(remember stock rods?, thats about all I want to test them to)
