This is regarding a 73 Electra but I'm assuming the info is the same for other years/models How much of a project is it to swap in a tilt column in place of the original non-tilt column shift unit? I've dropped columns before in cars but never completely removed one. Is it something that is fairly easy to get wrong? On a related note, Is there a unit from a different year/model that is interchangable enough to work and save me some cash? I have plenty of access to 80's Buicks so if they swap I'd be happy to find out how.
