My 70 gs in now in primer im getting ready to paint it and im am going to paint it the orignal color of harvest gold. But when it comes to the interior im debating on whether on the orginal dark browm(the darkest brown) or on a black interior. Does anyone have any picks of these color combos. it will help me on choosing a color. this car does not have a vynle top on it if that would make a difference. Thank you everyone out there

Don't have any pics, but I think black would look better. But there is something to be said for originality. In the end, it will be worth more, the codes will match, and even though there were some weird combos built back then, that is what made each car unique. If it were my car, I'd keep it brown. :TU:

With the money these cars are bringing I believe they are worth alot more in original colors. Just my opinion. Also remember black intiriors are unbearable in the sun! If you have AC it will have to work harder. If you do not :af: I got many welts on the backs of my legs from when I left the top down in the sun on my black interior 70 442 conv. Think hard about any change like this. Bottom line it is your car and your decision. We can only give our opinions. This was mine. :Smarty:

    Dave,
To solve the hot vinyl seat issue.....just buy towels that are the same color or close to the same color as the seats.......I do this here in FL and never sat in a hot seat! Also, you keep the seats clean and you can quickly remove the towels. When the towels get dirty...just throw them in the wash.

As for the interior color....up to you what you like...brown and black are both easy to keep clean.

Good tip George, I have now gone with the HiTech method of the XXXLarge T-Shirt over the back of the seat as it fits over the seatback and stays put! :TU:
