Car is running Great now, I want to say that before you read my novel below........ :Comp:

I was having some ignition issues with the MSD ready to run distributor, nothing major, just that the car had some slight hesitation and part throttle missing. Not missing bad, just a little while at cruising speeds and it just didn't pull like it should.

A few years ago I had another ignition problem, it's been so long, plus add many margarita's and other mind altering substances to the mix.... :beer...... I can't exactly remember what it was, but I think I was burning up points (told you it was a while ago). A club/board member told me to bypass the "resistance" wire because they were prone to fail over time due to running across the hot intake track. Even though at the time it didn't make much sense that the resistance wire would go bad, but all the other wires running in the same area would be good... .... I still did what was suggested. That was to replace that wire with a regular guage wire and use a Ballast resistor in line.

I did this and the car ran fine up until I installed the MSD distributor recently. Upon this MSD installation my hood tach stop working properly and the car had the slight missing issues I mentioned above. So last weekend I checked the Voltage across my coil (+ side) and only got 6.5-ish Volts with the Key ON. I am supposed to get 12 Volts....right........ :Do No:

So I bypassed the Ballast and walla....... car runs Awesome!!!! and my tach works again :TU: I now have 12 Volts at coil+ with key on.

    VinMan out.......
