I have a 1968 Buick GS400 and my winter project is going to be to adjust the height and squeeze a little more HP (performance) out of the motor/car. This is a true stock appearing street car that takes a half dozen trips a year to the track.

I want to run the car at FAST next year http://www.fastraces.org/. So keeping the car stock in appearance is important.
I'm running the original but modified 400 block cast iron heads, manifold and intake.

I really want to improve the stance, look and performance of the suspension. I'm planning to replace all 4 coil springs and shocks this winter. I would like a more aggressive looking stance. One thing I dislike about the car is it always looks like it sitting tail low. I'm thinking 2" drop springs on front and 1" on back to give it a more desired stance.

My question to all you more serious racers:

For street/strip performance what coil springs and shocks are you running? (Brands and numbers) What other stock appearing suspension mods would you recommend to improve ET times? Do any of you see a clearance or performance problem with 2" drop coils on the front and 1" on the rear?

    Im running 15" rims.
