So I am swapping over to a T-56, and I was wondering, do I need any special bolt to hold my pressure plate to my flywheel? Or will normal bolts from the parts shop do? I am making well over 600 HP, I don't know if that makes a difference. Do I need Grade 8 bolts, etc?

BTW, I am kind of disappointed that no one really commented on my last post which had pics of the trans mocked up. I figured I would get a few hot rodders cheering me on, or at least a purist of two telling me I was ruining a classic. Nothing though. Just one answer about driveline angle (Thanks 87GN_70GS)

Holy crap, TA flywheels use 3/8" bolts for the pressure plate? I guess with a bolt that big, regular bolts will be fine??? My old Ford truck only used 1/4"!

You should still use grade 8 bolts and a good thread locker:Smarty: Better safe than sorry:Dou: And more pics on Your progress:beers2:

Definitely a lot easier to install the clutch with a large hole in the floor:TU:

Get the best bolts you can! grade eight or better, last thing you wanna do is put "regular" bolts in, and break them off frist time you:3gears:

    Best of luck with it!
