Clock question

    Trying to get the last nut off the back of my clock and just doesn't seem to want to come off, just keeps spinning, any advice on how to get it off? Trying to open the clock up and see what might be the problem and step one of just opening it up isn't going as planned.

    That sucks, you can carefully cut a slot with a die grinder on the round part of the clock next to the bad stud as close to the nut as possible then slide in a small needlenose vice grips in and grab the stud.If you want you can cover the slot with some duct tape when you are done to keep out the dust

    Can you use a pair of needle nose pliers to hold the stud? I don't think you'll need much clamping force. Maybe wrap a couple pieces of electrical tape on the pliers so you don't squash the threads
