I am not sure how they look. I wish I knew, but I was hoping someone was familiar on this model and that trim.. it looks to me since on the bottom of my doors I have a quarter size hole and a pin hole right next to it that there is a clip that runs from lip to lip on inside my trim which then will have a center piece that fits these holes... is that any help?

    hey again,

are you talking about the long piece of trim that starts under end the front fender and runs past the door.
    or
the piece that goes behind the rear wheel well.

i have the clips for the long piece, not sure if i have an extra set, cause i sold the trim but dont remember shipping the clip. the 'clip' is a long thin piece of metal, well 2 of them. can definitely get pictures and dimensions. there are also some round washers in this area. here is a very large , full size photo of this area of my car
the long metal strips arent shown cause they arent on the car right now.

if it is the behind the rear well trim,
here is one on my parts car

glad you mentined this. i need to get those rear clips off my parts car. the person who 'restored' my convertible the last time musta lost those clips. he put screws right through the trim, in the black area, to hold them on. :spank:

let me know if you want more info on the long strips

    see ya

Hey rperkins, Long piece that starts under the front fender and runs past the doors. My vehicle if a 4-door lesabre.. I would have to say I also need them for the rear pieces as well.. Since the body shop took these pieces off they never returned those clips... So I havent the slightest clue on how they look but since wildcats and lesabre are identical I would have to say those are the clips... I am intrested in them..

Oh also, I have that wheel well trim.. Ill take a picture of it tonight and post it.. I have tried to post them before but my pics are over the size, so I may have to email you a pic... Ill talk to you later on tonight.. Thanks!

i went down and looked at the strips i have.
i have 2 strips the same length that came off of my convertible. not sure if my convertible has the original clip setup in this area. i also have one strip that is longer and was rusted into 2 pieces, not sure where it came from. maybe it came off of my parts car , which is a 4 door. i dont have any good pictures of my parts car in that area, due to the tall grass. i think these strips would be easy to make, out of some 22 gauge metal. i could make them at work, although they wouldnt be out of galvanized metal.

when i get home tonight i will take pictures of these strips, and measurements. i looked in my fisher body service manual for 69 and it didnt cover the these 'rocker molding' pieces at all:Do No: maybe i missed it.

yea go ahead and email me the picture of the trim, but dont put yourself out too much right now. i will know in a few days whether i need it or not.

    i'll be back,

    hello
the strips of metal are 31". the odd one i have is about "48, it must have came off of the 4 door.

like i said, i dont know if my car has been modified , i know i have some clips missing behind the rear quarter. i will probably be out to my 4 door parts car within the week, so if you need more info let me know. i dont have any of these to sell, but i think they would be easy to make.

i will post one picture here but ,here is a link to a bunch of them
    and
here is a quick sketch of the 31" piece

i notice my holes dont line up where i put the fender back on :ball: . well what do you expect for my first time :)

those clips at the bottom of the rear quarter look a lot like these clips on ebay

    see ya
