Jarrod: Here's a link I found last month. Hope this helps. http://www.buickperformance.com/Overflow.htm Paul
Thanks Paul ! ....and as of right now i still haven't found any parts for you yet. Do you still need parts or did you find what you need ? Let me know and i'll keep looking for you.
Jarrod: As of this moment, I've lined up a deck lid and a rear bumper that I'll be getting from a V8 Buick board member. He also has a right front fender that I'll look at when I pick up the other parts. He's been really good to deal with. I should know more in about a week after I drive to Indiana to pick up the parts. I'll let you know. There is one part that no one seems to have. I need the Tri-Shield emblem for the front bumper. Mine looks like it was smashed with a hammer while the care was in storage. Think your friend in California has one? Paul
Jarrod, Not clear in you original post what tank you need, Skylark or full size???? I have one from a 70 Wildcat that I stripped last Sat. I have it on Ebay for a whopping $9
George: Are the new tanks at the Buick Performance website different than the one you have on e-bay? Are the sizes different for Skylark and LeSabre? Paul
Paul, The full size tanks sit perpendicular to the fender. The Skylark (repro versions) sit parallel to the fender. You can NOT interchange the two.
Paul, there is a guy here on the board that reproduces the bumper emblem for the 70' model. If you put a "want ad" you will find him rather easily, or should I say he'll find you. I think he wants $250 for them.I'm assuming here so don't assume i'm correct.
George: Thanks for the info on the different styles of tanks. Am I correct that the new ones at Buick Performance won't fit my application because they're made for Skylarks only? Anybody make new tanks for my application? Paul
Paul, no one makes the big car tanks. And the Skylark ones won't work. There are a few NOS ones floating around for your car though. Keep an eye out!
George/Adam (or anyone?) I'm currently using a overflow tank that's part of the radiator shroud; it's molded into the passenger side near the alternator. I have no idea what vehicle it came from, I got in a yard 20 years ago and it's been in the car ever since. It gives the engine compartment an "uncluttered" look (now I'm starting to sound like Martha Stewart), it just doesn't hold much volume. Any problems using the integral unit or should I get serious about finding the correct overflow tank? Paul
The integral units are from 73-up Buicks. No problem using that set-up. Tip, don't fill your rad to the top. Leave 1-1.5" from the top for thermal expansion, prevents any overflow and won't affect cooling.
