Went to the car cruise and show on fri and sat in Clear Lake. First time going there. 850 plus cars for the cruise on fri night and over 500 in the car show sat. Seen a lot of nice buicks. The music at the Surf was really good. Strange sitting there knowing that was the last stage Buddy, Richie, and the big Bopper played on. Lot of great pictures and memorabilia to look at to.

I have a cousin the lives in Mason City that has a newly restored '70 GS455 4 speed, think it's black or a very dark color. See a car like that there?

A really good friend of mine lives on Clear Lake. Me & another buddy were up there 2 years ago for the lake cruise & car show. It was a blast!! We even got in trouble for dumping water on the street for burnouts!:D:rolleyes: Planned on gong this year, but it clashed with our local car show.:(

My wife and I met our son in Clear Lake on Sunday - the grandkids had been with us the previous week at the lake in Minnesota. My son is from Papillion NE - we met for lunch in the city park, there was a Lions Burger and Corn Feed that was in progress. The Clear Lake area is exceptional - the park is clean, lots of trees and the lake is beautiful. we enjoyed it immensely. We headed back to MN, the son and kids swam for an hour and then headed back. We are putting the Cruise on the calendar for next year - a note, there is a very nice campground just off of 35 on the East side. Byron
