 While under the dash today, I notice that the reason the radio did not work was because the was just taking up space the dash...No hook up wires...heck there wasn't even a speaker! The antenna wire is there. I don't see much else. The radio is a "sonomatic" am radio. what parts will I need to hook it up. I don't even see a speaker mount. I know how to hook up radios, but I would like to put this back as it came from the factory. Speaker mounts wiring and such
Also has anyone here dealt with Classic Car Wiring. I'm looking to purchase their color wiring diagram. I ask if the diagram which is listed as a Skylark wiring diagram, was the same as the harness on my 70 stage1. he return m e-mail. He only answered the question I had in reguards to radio. Thanks In advance, cause I know this board will put me in the right direction. I also need a chassis manual, any body got an extra one for sale? Jim :beers2:

The wire connection should be there or evidence where some fool cut it off. Should be a black plastic connector that plugs into radio with two wires coming from it. Ithink even radio delete cars had the wires taped to main harness. Wires were yellow and blue or maybe green. may also be a single blue wire if car had rear speaker. Stock front speakers had a built in bracket that mounted speaker over stud i believe. Get the Chassis manual as it shows wire diagrams and radio hookups. Also assembly manuals are good for this/ Year One sells reprints of both but chassis expensive and so are originals. Not sure about other company wiring diagrams.
