Whenever I get one of these notices I'll fill it out and send it weather Im affected or not. Sooner or later I get a check for 2.00 - 10.00. Woo Hoo! Got what I thought was another one yesterday. Said Takata Airbag on the envelope. I had filled one out a few months back for this on the Honda that my daughter totaled in Nov. Cars long gone. Never had an issue with the airbag. (It didnt go off in her roll over) got a check yesterday for 500.00. Sweet. Gonna put it towards the new race engine build.
I bought a $10.00 item from Harbor freight about 2 years ago. They emailed me a class action suit for the item. I could return the item for $, I could get 10.00 free credit, or I could join the suit. I joined the suit, I got a gift card for $175.00!!! Unfortunately, it was Jason Cook's name on the card. lol No...really...$175.00 I couldn't believe it.
