It’s of guys just paint over high build. Huge mistake. Primer to poruss. Tight nitch high Quality primer surfacer should always go over. So when the sun beats down on that paint in an asphalt parking lot all day. The paint won’t shrink. And pull scratches

I definitely planned on using a good epoxy primer and a good high build primer after the body work was done. So if i have a panel with mud on it and there are spots where the metal is showing through, they would be high spots? How would i go about fixing those high spots? Im sorry if this may be a dumb question, im trying to make sure i do the job right to make this car look amazing like it deserves

If it's out in the middle of a panel then yes it's more than likely a high spot, I generally don't run into that as I've already addressed it before, the high build. But its happened of course, I will take a body hammer and a paint paddle or filler spreader and ease it down with light taps, you will then Need to spot prime that area, or worst case scenario make a putty repair and spot prime.

I sometimes will use primer surfacer over high build on the high end stuff, and other times I will use DP epoxy as a sealer and put two coats to shell over the high build.

So if you arent able to build up the high spot enough to where it is level with everything else, i can take a paint spreader and lightly tap the high spot down and spot prime it. That doesnt sound too hard, it all sounds time consuming
