    whilst taking off my heads to see if they were the big valve heads - there not :rant: :spank: :blast: :ball: i found that the water passages at the front on both banks and some of the passage ways where it passes through the head gasket :jd: :jd: :jd: take a close look at tehe head gasket - is there something wrong with it?

    Are you referring to the holes on the outer edges? Bummer the big valve theory didn't work out on your car...there was hope though!

    Here is one of the new head gaskets in my car..

    There are passages cast into the head there:

    I don't think there are on the block, at least not on the front.

    oops :spank: !

    what i meant to say was that the passages at the front on both banks are BLOCKED! and it seems the head gasket has stopped the flow as well but adam says that it should be like that? when i pulled the gasket water squirted out of the hole! i will outline the problem

    Have you taken a razor blade & cleaned off the deck ot see what is there and not there? I don't think there is a passage at the front there..at least from what I remember. There are holes on both sides of the gaskets because they are reversible.
