It was built by fellow online model building enthuiast Jeff Duranso from an resin kit. He really pulled out all the stops to make it look so factory fresh! Here's a link to the pics and feel free to leave a comment. http://wwwboard.modelcarkits.com/index.pl?read=749333
Wow Jeff, thanks for posting that. Tell the builder that us V8Buick guys love it! The authentic looking rear view mirror and wheel covers are over the top!! How about giving the guys here the info on that resin kit? BTW, Merry Christmas :beer
The pics that were posted on the Hobby heaven board have since expired but here is a link to Jeff Duranso's model gallery where the Riv and other fine Buick builds he did are featured. Enjoy! http://public.fotki.com/JDURANSO/jeffs_model_cars/general_motors/buick_models/
Thanks Jeff-not only did we get to enjoy the beautiful Riv, we got to take in that awesome '65 Wildcat and '70 Skylark! :TU:
Here you go: R & R Vacuum Craft 8324 Calkins Rd. Flint, Michigan 48532 (810)659-7874 It's a small two person operation that casts the models. He doesn't have a website, or accept credit cards. He also casts models of 53-62 Buicks, as well as a model of a 66 Sportwagon, which should be something to see. His prices are very reasonable, in the $40 range. Many other companies charge about $70 per kit.
