Do you think these would work? I have a chance to pick up some 85" Circum 15" tires used on a stock car very cheap. Would these work as drag slicks if they were aired down. Trying to find some cheap slicks before the racing season ends in Maine.

    Thanks, Kevin :Do No:

I was told long ago not to use circle track tires. There compound is much different than 1/4 mile tires. Drag tires are meant to get very sticky very quick whereas circle track tires reach a certain temp and try to stay there, but cool off quicker and may not get a sticky as we need at launch.

Circle track tires also have a limited number of heat cycles then they are junk. You would need a 2 minute burnout to get them hot enough to be sticky.
