Did you buy one of those kits that has a bin full of different sanding pads, discs, and tubes?

standard abrasives yes i did . I cut most of it with tungsten carbide cutters then usded the kit to finish it off. you can get the kit at jegs for $39 which for what you get is a hell of a deal especially when you consider that one tungsten carbide cutter will run you about $20!

Looks like a lot of work!! What are the bumps in the chambers? I see you've ground them off. I wonder what purpose they served.

so far ALOT of work - one of those "wish i hadnt started" deals! that bump is just a casting bump - some people say its to help stabilize air flow others say it serves no purpose. all i know is it will help to prevent detonation when there are no sharp edges in the combustion chamber - so off it comes!!!!

this performance lark is addictive - im already considering getting some 10 - 1 or more pistons  :Brow: :Brow:

those "bumps" are there to promote turbulance around the plugs for better burning, they are not considered to be sharp edged. the sharp egdes usaully refered to are around the combustion chamber to head surface you usually get after the head is machined.
