Central Fla-'53 Special con,'67GS340,'66Lark con,'66Special Wag.

My friend just hauled in a rusty '53 Special 40 Series convertible,a '67 GS 340 hardtop,'67 Skylark hardtop,'66 Skylark convertible,'66 Special flatroof wagon, a '66 Wildcat Custom 2dr hardtop-but this one may have gone into the crusher last week.Will have to check and post here later. Also a running solid '66 Riviera,which I swapped him a '66 Cadillac convertible for. I can get pics of these parts cars,but really don't know how to post,so maybe someone here could post for me if I email the pics. If you need parts,call Wayne at 813-752-9004 weekdays and Sat. These cars are mostly complete ,but rusty. Ted

I went to the yard today to get pics.My camera will not take any pics for some reason. Made in China HP camera.My wife's Kodak made in China just broke also. Will try again in a couple of days. Sorry to every one that wanted to eyeball these cars. Ted

 

Anyone know if the flat roof 66 wagon would have the same tail lights and headlight surrounds as well as the tail light glass? Sure would be interested. Thanks in advance. Len

 

Where abouts in central Florida are these cars located??? I'd be very interested in checking them out before heading back north.

idle curiosity more than anything else ... but how much would they want for the 340 engine? i'm interested primarily in the intake and heads but would take the whole thing.

 

I was there today to check the cars out. The GS340 car has a 300 motor in it. There are some stainless trim trim pieces in the trunk of a special, that look to be side trim.The hood scoops on the GS are ok, but i've seen better. I believe he's asking $150.00 for the scoops. The interiors are shot in both cars. Both cars have what appeared to be good glass, but one windshield is out and broken. I myself picked up a few items, but the cars are mostly shot.There was a darn straight rear bumper, with very little rust, but the whole thing would need replating to look anywhere near good.

Hey, stuck new batteries in the camera.Now it works! Put a 'new' pair of batteries in it a couple of weeks ago,must not have been good. After Monday,I'll swing by the yard and get some pics. Ted

Where in the heck is Dodgertown FL?

Reason for asking is local yard in Clearwater had a 67 LeSabre with 340 and it was complete. If you check my Tampa Bay Area yarding report, you will see what is available. Car went to the crusher last week with the 340 still in it.

 

i should be more specific. when i say '340' i mean '4v 340'. the 4v intake is more than half the reason i want it ... if the heads'll line up.

how come you don't link your junkyard report from BPG?

'Dodgertown' is slang for Z(V)ero Beach. Vero has been the Dodgers training camp since before they moved to LA. in fact, you can go to Expedia.com and type in 'dodgertown, fl, usa' and it will take you straight to Holman stadium.

heh heh, but that's not the question i asked. i'm sure you have visitors (members even?) to the BPG who don't ever make it to v8buick.

on the one hand i could see you trying to keep it semi-private but on the other hand you keep posting it on v8 were we can have upwards of 600 members on at any given time and where there is far more traffic than your own website. uzzled:

as i say, i don't 'need' them. but i've got crazy ideas and i'll probably scratch them sooner or later...

so yeah, if you see a 4v 340 pop up somewhere (cheap, i'm a buick guy aren't i?) kick me. :spank:

i don't care much about the condition of the engine but the heads and intake have to be useable.
