Center console from "other" cars in a 69 Skylark?

Hi fellas,

Has anyone had luck with a console from something else (read: easily and cheaply attainable) that will work in a skylark?
I know most here are more into resto style stuff, but my car is not in the least bit original, and not at all a want or need.

Currently has the stock bench, soon to make way for a set of Subaru Bucket seats (dont laugh, they are pretty nice), and I'll need a console. 4th gen F-body maybe?

 

I have seen Chevelle consoles in Buicks, they seem to fit just fine.

 

I've got a mostly complete 70-72 console I'm trying to sell

 

The console in my '70 Chevelle (350th) when u were in gear, was lit up so that u knew what gear u were in.
