Jan...there are several different models of center caps....Ribbed with birds, 65-67... Ribbed with tri shield logo, 68-70...flat style with SILVER centers 71-72 and black center 72 up! WHAT caps for what year are you looking for? Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Good you ask, I forgot to mention that I will put the wheels on my 65 GS so it should be correct for that period. I had a set of 14x6 on it with the trishield logo on.
Jan, Do you need the ribbed caps about 1-1/2 inches high that fit on the chrome and black sport wheels? If so you probably want the "fat bird" for a 65right? Ron
Jan, Me again. Actually if you have a G.S. the tri-shield it's probably correct. The fat silver bird with a red background is correct for Skylark. Maybe you have the smooth side cap with the tri-shield and about 3/4 inch high, and want to switch to the ribbed cap with tri-shield? Ron
You should contact the board member mitchr on this board. He reproduces very nice caps for reasonable money. Matt
The only center cap used for Skylark and GS in '65 was the "fatbird" style. The trishield came into use about '69. Loren
