Any good ideas on finding a panel to replace the stock radio panel with, its broke and the stock stereo has long been awol, something i can put a cd player in. Not many good radio stations in hawaii and you lose em in the mountains and tunnels. o No:
What car? All of the CD players I've seen come with a trim bezel that's much bigger than the dual shaft opening in the dashboard. They never look quite right to me, but they can be installed cleanly. You can check hobby or art supply stores for sheets of black plastic that can be cut to whatever shape you need. I don't think you're going to find any "pre-made" solutions.
Presuming you have a 68 through 72 GS or 'lark here is one option for you. And you might even be able to reuse your junked bezel. There are other options too including a number of good choices (so I've heard) from Custom Autosounds. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=7768&highlight=DIN+style
Its a '72 He has a '72 GS350. Hey Nick I came across a radio plate/bracket/mount yesterday at the salvage yard. The chrome is nasty, but the plastic is all intact. Mr. Gs in Texas, I believe can rechrome it rather reasonably? Take care out there! Dad.
thanx sorry i for got i made this post o No: thanx for all the ideas just wanted to see if there was by chance something nice out there. i think making one will be easy enough since my job in the nav is to preform structural repair on aircraft so i figure i'll make one outta aluminum and give it a nice polishing but thanx for the suggestions and yes dad im doing fine just cant wait to get home and get the 7 deuce rolling again :TU:
