Bought a set of door edge guards from him, advertised as 1 dent on drivers side, not important as I only needed passenger side. What I received was 2 absolutely beat up guards, both with numerous dents, dings, scrapes and gouges, not fit even for a driver. Looked like someone used a screwdriver to pry them off. As a matter of fact, the pass side was worse than the drivers side. The only thing they weren't was kinked. Pm'ed him, told him I didn't realize the pieces were beat to crap and that I would be sending them back. He agreed, but made it clear that he was "upset" that I called them "beat to crap". Whatever. I shipped them back, paid for shipping both ways, with the promise of a postal money order refund. Well, not only was it not a postal money order (got a personal check) but he felt the need to cheese me out of the change. I have been buying parts on this forum for many years, and everyone has been honest and forthright with their descriptions of the parts until now. I just want to remind folks not to believe what a seller says, make sure you get plenty of pics to back up their claims of condition.

I just bought a part from him and I couldn't be happier with the transaction. Great communication fast shipping, etc

Well, Matt, I'm very happy for you. Unfortunately, I was not so lucky.

I am not sure that someone issuing a refund deserves a slam, but I can see your point. Often when I have bought parts that are decades old the seller is not exactly looking at the same part that I am wanting to buy. This is especially true with high priced NOS parts that were never perfect when new. At any rate, sorry to hear about a bad experience, but I do not think everyone is an expert on parts. At least he was willing to send the money back(and,NO,I do not know him personally).Posting a lot of pics is always a good idea, especially before you ship an item that often gets damaged.

I know Johnny personally. Bought the engine I've been racing in the Regal from him. This is the first neg I've ever heard. Sorry you didnt get what you wanted and your transaction was less than perfect. Johnny's a good guy.
