I'd like to know the original specs for the caster, camber, and toe-in
for my Buick electra 225 4ht 1967 custom.

This is coming from a front end guy with lots of experience (me):pp ..........if you're running radial tires, set your toe in to 1/8". (1/4" for bias ply). Caster should be set so that both sides are equal, maybe 1/4 degree more positive on the right than the left. Amount of degrees isn't important as long as it's within a few degrees of 0. Manual steering cars generally need more positive caster. (you should use a 1/2 degree lead on the right only if you run bias ply) Camber should be 1/4 degree positive on both sides. (bias ply run 1/2 degree lead more positive on the left).:Smarty:

Here's another tip.....make sure to set your air pressure in all 4 tires first before doing the alignment. Most shops skip this important step........they're too worried about selling you a new idler arm and shocks. OEM GM idler arms wiggle a little and that's normal. Ball joints and tie rods need to be tight. Also the center link needs to be tight. Lower ball joints on cars like yours with the spring on the LOWER control arm can wiggle a small bit, although a new one won't. (the force of the weight of the car is pulling on it and will take out the slack)

Pay close attention to your upper control arm bushings.....old mid '60's Buicks are famous for needing them. If they look off center replace them before doing the alignment.

Also, if your front springs are sagging, proper alignment will be impossible b/c the angles of your suspension will be out of whack and your tires will wear on the sides and the car will not handle well. The first indication of sagged springs is if you can't slip a floor jack under the car on a level floor without having to lift the car up a little first.:TU:

    I wrote a book again.:Dou:

Bias ply tires are just old fashion tires that aren't radials. Most cars made before 1967 came with them from the factory.

Also, I just noticed you're from Sweden.......if you drive on the opposite side of the road than Americans do, you need to lead your caster and camber on the left side instead of the right to compensate for road crown.......
