Has anyone used a cast aluminum trans pan on a TH400, and if so what did you do about the shifter cable bracket? I'm using the factory GS bracket that bolts up with two of the pan bolts. The wall of the pan is thicker than stock and the holes in the bracket won't line up with the holes in the pan. I would need to remove about 1/8 to 3/16 from the bracket to allow it to move over enough. Is there another way to do this?

I could also slot the holes in the bracket, but I'd rather use a different bracket than cut up the original one. How hard are these to come by?

I used a TCI finned, aluminum 7-quart pan on my th400 and didn't have to trim or modify the brackets at all. Never leaked. I loved it. It's still on the trans. I sold it to a fellow board member who's in Texas.

Number at Summit Racing is TCI-228000:

Thanks for the info. It's a Summit brand pan (whatever that is) but the bracket wouldn't go over far enough for the holes to line up. I made another bracket today and drilled the holes off center.
